26th, 27th & 28th February 2024

Welcome to the Women in Public Sector IT Strategy Forum

It is no secret that women are massively under-represented across STEM roles in industry. This is just as true across women in public sector IT leadership roles as it is anywhere else. As it stands, women occupy just 16% of IT jobs in the UK and make up less than 14% of CIOs. Whether it be in healthcare where there are exciting data analytics projects occurring, within policing where predictive trends are informing operational decisions or across government where smart city projects are taking off there are incredible opportunities for female IT leaders to be setting the narrative.

The Women in Public Sector IT Strategy Forum (or WIPSIT for short) holds two aims. Firstly, and most importantly it is to provide a space where female leaders can share insight into the projects they are working on, and inspire their peers with the ideas fuelling their transformational and strategic plans. Secondly, it is to encourage the community of leaders to discuss how their under-representation can be addressed moving forward. Why are there so few female leaders in this space and what can be done to change the status quo.

WIPSIT will bring together leaders from all manner of IT roles across the public sector with approved solution providers in a three-day residential business networking event. The forum promises to inspire debate through world-class engagement platforms and ultimately broaden your expertise adding real value and insight back into your organisation. Attendees will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with peers through one-to-one business meetings, speed networking and group discussions. There will also be a range of speaker sessions focusing on hot topics including diversity and inclusion, operationalising data, the post-COVID future for technology and designing end to end digital transformation projects. Through this, you are given the opportunity to meet with innovative providers offering solutions aimed at reducing costs and improving efficiencies.
